Following on from my last post, my question is Do
you embrace Victoriana?
‘Very much so’ I hear you say…Then take a look at Part
2 of this wedding shoot captured by the astonishing & award winning
+Gemma Williams of www.gemmawilliamsphotography.co.uk at the magnificent Council House in Malvern, Worcestershire for some inspiration.
You
like the formal lines of the Victorian style but you don’t want to wear white
or look strict. So why not go for a bright & bold corset, straight skirt
with bustle & frills for a Very Victoriana inspired look.
The extremely talented Selinna Juke from Alissia Couture Boutique Gloucestershire, provided this colourful creation.
Natural
makeup to enhance and show you at your best is always a great option, but bold dramatic
makeup can show you off equally well and is fun too.
For instance; everyone
loves a pink hue, it’s just about finding the one that is right for you. For this shoot I used a soft pink on our marvelous model, to compliment the pale pink shade
running through her hair.
As an
alternative to standard jewellery you could wear a treasure you found at an
antique fair or perhaps a cherished family item, displayed it in all it's glory.
For this shoot Selinna added watch faces
& cogs to the accessories to give them a Steampunk inspired style.
Your wedding flowers are your best chance to use your favourite colours all in one go, so go for it!
Your Groom likes the idea of looking smart, even sharp but doesnt' want anything stereotypical.
Try a slim fit blazer (in velvet perhaps), or a
fitted waistcoat instead of a jacket. Wing collared shirt but worn with a
cravat and maybe a bowler instead of a top hat.
Second Hand Rose in Worcester provided our dapper chap’s outfit from their wide range
of vintage stock.
Groom
hair styling option; slicked down & flicked back but not clean shaven; to give a masculine feel
to a more casual look.
If
one of you may be conscious of wearing your glasses on the big day, your future
spouse could wear clear glass specs in some shots, the giggles and smiles will
make for great pics.
Feeling
a little nervous about having your photo taken? Trying to keep a straight face in
some poses can have the opposite effect, natural laughter galore.
Massive thanks goes to all of the wonderful wedding suppliers who contributed to the shoot & to the models of course. I wholeheartedly recommend all of them. Jx
